"I chose ophthalmology because it gave me the ability to help patients both in the clinical and surgical settings. As a medical student, I had the opportunity to observe eye surgery and it gave me a better understanding of the anatomy of the eye, which I still find absolutely fascinating.

Now, as a practitioner, providing the highest quality of care for my patients is one of my best qualities, which requires patience, excellent surgical skill, and great communication skills. By collaborating together, I help patients understand what is happening with their eyes and give them the confidence of knowing they are in good hands for their eye care.

I especially enjoy being able to make a drastic difference in a patient’s quality of life by performing cataract and corneal surgery (for which I have sub-specialty training), and guiding them through the process before, during, and after."
